[This article points out how much there is with Porn and Politics, without showing any of it, of course, written by a religious scholar who objects to it.  But did you know that there are six stages of addiction to pornography?  While it's changing your brain chemistry, the same way the use of drugs and alcohol changes the brain chemistry, there really are six stages of addiction to porn, and here they are--quoted from LDS Social Services counselor, Orem, Utah:

1st Stage of Addiction to Pornography - viewing it, progressing to experimenting with it
2nd Stage > experimenting with animals, progressing to full blown beastology (brief references to this in some movies to make it appear "normal" and "ok" to do, using humor and comedy to sell it)
3rd Stage >  experimenting on children, progressing to stalking children for this main purpose which then is progressed into child pornography and child trafficking for it
4th Stage >  experimenting with same-gender humans, progressing to becoming homosexual and/or trans-gender (also quoted from LDS Social Services counselor: the only way anybody becomes homosexual is not from being born that way, having DNA/genes damaged, or chemicals and/or diet changing hormones---even though Monsanto GMO's are experimenting in doing this very thing--it comes from having been molested as a young child, maybe not even remembering it happening, or being recruited through pornography, or both--public schools are giving out books that promote "diversity" families with children having two men or two women as their parents, and when you ask to be notified about this, it can create negative responses from the school district, up to and including being arrested for giving a verbal rejection, or just asking to be notified to choose opting out of it--don't believe it, google it)
5th Stage > experimenting with what is called "snuff films" that do simulated rape and murder in extreme detail (prime-time TV is almost this far already--actor Nicolas Cage played a detective investigating a murder based on the perp using snuff films that progressed to the next stage, titled "8MM"--heads up in case you're a Nicolas Cage fan, because one of our staff's friends who saw the movie said it was very detailed without being an actual snuff film in and of itself, but very close to it)
6th Stage > murder, because the other 5 stages no longer give the "high"

So when religious leaders and/or psychologists with moral and ethical principles say to stay away from pornography, these are the reality stages of addiction of why they are giving the warning!  And just like with drugs or alcohol, it is hard to overcome on your own--it requires you WANTING to get rid of it in your life, and requires assistance, but it CAN be done.  Statistics in 2010 Salt Lake newspapers reported that 9 out of 10 students at BYU, including LDS return missionaries, were addicted to pornography.  And nobody wants to hear about the above 6 stages of addiction.  As one person stated in a newspaper commentary, "Don't tell us about the 6 stages and take all the fun out of doing it for us."  And watch out for the "soft" porn that's already out there in sports magazines, TV advertisements, TV shows, movies, etc. because it also can change the brain chemistry into being addicted to it the exact same way that lesser drugs lead to harder drugs.]
