GMO Corn

Story at-a-glance

  • A 2012 nutritional analysis of GMO versus non-GMO corn shows shocking differences in nutritional content. Non-GMO corn contains 437 times more calcium, 56 times more magnesium, and 7 times more manganese than GMO corn
  • GMO corn was also found to contain 13 ppm of glyphosate, compared to zero in non-GMO corn. EPA “safe” level for glyphosate in American water supplies is 0.7 ppm, and organ damage in animals has occurred at levels as low as 0.1 ppm
  • GMO corn contains extremely high levels of formaldehyde—about 200 times the amount found toxic to animals
  • Research by a Texas teenager using fruit flies, which began when she was in middle school, shows that in virtually every health measure, including fertility, stress resistance and longevity, flies that fed on organic bananas and potatoes fared better than those who fed on conventionally raised produce. Her research was recently published in a respected science journal

Peru bans GMOs for 10 years - Gives an example of how to protect the country's food supply - it's not "against anything" but protects the "biosecurity"

  • Peru says no to GMO

Peru is the first country in the Americas to ban genetically modified foods, putting its food policy closer to that of Europe, than the United States or many of its South American neighbors.

***Sidebar:  One of my staff members shared a conversation she'd had with her spine doctor two weeks ago.  He was sharing what added medical expenses he is required by law that will mean higher rates to his patients:
    1. $1,300 last month for new software required for patient and payment data
    2. $40,000 for new equipment, coming up expense, required for patient and payment data that are to be instantly accessible to ObamaCare administration
    3. $$ for "The Cloud" and $$ for another internet file system as a backup -- both, 2 systems,  are required for patient files and data at all times -- as the monthly fee goes up for "The Cloud," and he would want to drop it for a cheaper internet system that may emerge by then, "The Cloud" will keep all his patient files, not give them back to him for any reason, which he didn't like the sound of happening
    4. As of May 2014, Medicare will not cover the cost of his services to Medicare patients, who will be required to pay cash if not having another insurance company--and if a Medicare patient should accidentally, or on purpose, file for reimbursement for his services, there will be a severe auditing for his entire file of patient records accompanied with stiff penalties for him as well as the patient who filed for reimbursement [which could make for a potential set-up if a patient wanted to get even with their physician]

The Health Ranger's 10 Ways to Free Yourself from Economic Slavery

The modern-day 'slave class' is anyone who cannot do math... and that's about 95% of the population

(NaturalNews) Throughout human history, most slavery has been enforced physically -- with whips and chains. You either did what you were told or they beat you into submission.

Most modern people mistakenly believe slavery has been largely eradicated across our world. They don't see people shackled in chains or being ordered what to do by their owners. Modern culture no longer accepts overt slavery, right? ...Or does it?

As it turns out, slavery is alive and well on our planet, and its shackles are made of numbers, not steel. Those who are enslaved under this new system are people who fail to understand simple math: numbers, compounding interest, loans, investments and so on. You show me a person who can't do math, and I'll show you someone who functions as a slave to the system.

In this article, I show you how to escape mathematical slavery and live as a free person. But first, you need to understand how mathematical slavery really works.
    Let's begin with WAGES.

    Wages

There's a good reason why people who earn incomes reported on IRS W-2 forms are often called "wage slaves." It's not a derogatory term; it's more of a cry for help. "Help! I'm a slave to my paycheck and I can't get ahead!"

There's a reason you can't get ahead: the banks and the government have fine-tuned your "payments" to them (taxes, loans, fees, etc.) in order to extract the maximum amount from your paycheck while leaving you so little of your own that you can never get ahead enough to stop working.

Your car payment and house payment, for example, are precisely calculated to make sure you can't pay either of them off ahead of schedule. They're mathematically selected to guarantee you can only "squeak by" and barely pay more than the monthly interest, thereby extending your loan principles into the far distant future.

Mathematically impaired people, of course, don't even know the difference between the "interest" and "principle" sections of a loan repayment schedule. Hence, they do not realize they can actually save themselves a small fortune on their home loans by making HALF the normal payment TWICE as often (every two weeks instead of once a month, essentially). This costs you nothing extra but can save as much as $100,000 or more on the life of a home loan.

Wage slaves genuinely believe that the parts of their paycheck "withheld" by the government are needed to run the government. This delusion has been hammered into their heads for so long that they simply cannot come to grips with the reality: the government can create all the money it needs to fund itself. It does not need to take it from taxpayers. The entire purpose of the tax code is not to raise money but to control the wage slaves.

    Home loans

Mathematically impaired individuals really get "taken to the bank" when it comes to home loans. Through the entire process of getting loan pre-approval, making an offer on an house, having the offer accepted and then closing the home to make it "yours," these people are getting royally screwed up one side and down the other.

For starters, they do not understand that they are paying (a loan origination fee) for the "right" to pay a bank over 200% more than their house actually cost. Yep, if you take out a 30-year home loan at any interest rate exceeding 5.5%, you actually end up paying for your home TWICE in terms of total payments to the bank.

And don't even get me started on variable rate loans, "interest only" loans and other scammy vehicles that keep people financially enslaved.

    Insurance

Insurance is where mathematically impaired individuals really pay the price. Most of the profits in the insurance industry come from people who make terrible decisions about what level of deductibles to apply to their insurance policies.

The way this works is that the lower your deductible, the more you're getting ripped off. On auto insurance, any deductible under $2500 is a waste of money. Agents "sell" it to mathematically impaired individuals by saying, "You should buy a deductible of just $250, that way if something happens, the maximum you'll have to pay out of pocket will be $250."

To a mathematically impaired individual, that sounds perfectly reasonable. What they don't grasp, however, is that the additional fees they are paying for the lower deductible result in them paying far more than $250 in additional insurance fees, usually within just the first 12 months. They would be much smarter to buy a far higher deductible, save the difference in the insurance rates and set it aside to cover the larger deductible if something happens.

Mathematically impaired individuals don't realize the insurance companies have already run all the numbers through their computers and determined that a person with a lower deductible has an increased risk of causing a payout. Thus, rates are much higher.

These same principles apply to all forms of insurance, not just auto insurance. Generally speaking, people who are obsessed with buying insurance for everything are the very same people who are allowing themselves to be ripped off all the time. I've known people who buy cancer insurance, flood insurance, fire insurance, theft insurance, data loss insurance, work injury insurance and a dozen other policies. It's almost an addiction for them, but at the end of the day they have no money left because they're sent it all to the insurance companies in a foolish effort to try to "eliminate risk" in their life.

Here's some stern advice: Number one, you can't eliminate all the risk in your life. And number two, insurance companies go broke all the time, meaning that you might be paying insurance into a company that goes belly-up right when you need them.

    The Lottery

People who can't do math love to play the lottery. That's because they are incapable of comprehending their odds of winning, so the state extracts yet more money from them in order to feed its own endless budgetary needs.

Lotteries are a way the state steals from the poor. Wealthy people don't play the lotto, primarily because wealthy people tend to have a far better grasp on mathematics.

    National debt

A typical mathematically impaired American does not know the difference between the national debt and the budget deficit. They think that when Obama says something like, "The budget deficit is actually decreasing..." that it means the national debt is being paid down. Or even that the budget deficit itself is getting smaller.

What Obama really means, however, is that the rate of growth of the budget deficit is smaller. This is the government equivalent of a "budget cut."

Because mathematically disadvantaged people do not understand deficits and debts, they are incapable of discerning which candidate for public office is actually committed to shrinking deficits and paying off debts. Thus, they vote for whoever talks the most convincingly, and that's how we end up electing the best liars rather than the best economists.

    Investments

The stock market is going up! Must be a great time to get in, right?

It's all a scam, of course, designed to extract money from people who cannot do math. Most people, for example, don't understand that the "Dow" is a compiled metric of the market that is constantly re-worked to show high numbers by dumping poor performers and adding high performers. The same is true with the Nasdaq. These market index numbers are specifically manipulated to make you think the market is doing extremely well at all times.

Then there's the fact that as the money supply gets flooded with cheap money from the Fed, it causes all stocks to appear to go UP in value because they are all being purchased with increasingly worthless dollars from an eroding money supply.

A typical American thinks, "The Dow is up another 20 points today! That's good!" but they fail to realize the Dow is a contrived market index whose primary purpose is to sucker new investors into the system so that the market insiders can (legally) separate them from their money.

10 ways to free yourself from the modern era of mathematical slavery

The one thing different about modern-day slavery is that you can free yourself from its grip. It only requires that you educate yourself in basic mathematics and begin to use your knowledge to separate yourself from banks, lotteries, investment scams and other vehicles of financial confiscation.

Here's the true path to financial freedom that frees you from mathematical slavery:

#1) Develop a valuable skill and use it to earn money.

#2) Live well BELOW your means so that you can save at least 20% of your after-tax income.

#3) When you buy your first house, pay it off as quickly as possible -- within five years at most.

#4) Never buy another house using bank loans again. Always pay cash and you'll never be living under somebody else's roof.

#5) NEVER take out loans on vehicles. Buy your vehicles outright, even if it means driving something older and less expensive.

#6) NEVER buy insurance that isn't required by law. If you are forced by the state to purchase insurance, get the highest deductible allowed. Set aside enough money to cover any catastrophic loss, and you'll always be ahead of the game vs. buying insurance for it.

#7) NEVER play the lottery. The state has enough suckers to fund itself.

#8) Consider starting your own business. This is the one true path to economic freedom. It will require time, money and effort, but it offers you no limit on your earnings. Plus, it gives you a wealth of ways to legally deduct all your business expenses.

#9) Don't listen to mainstream "investment advisors," none of whom warned anybody about the dot-com crash or the housing bubble crash. These people are paid sales agents for mutual funds and other investment vehicles "for the masses." If you really want to invest in something valuable, invest in your own education via books, DVDs, seminars or graduate degrees that offer real, practical skills.

#10) Diversify your savings. Never put all your eggs in one basket... or even one currency. Be wary of the coming financial collapse, bank holidays, bank account confiscations, etc. Make sure you can protect the wealth you've earned.

And stop watching television! Nothing makes you more mathematically stupid...

Walter E. Williams is a professor of economics at George Mason University - Below is an article on economics, about price vs cost, and a video on nullification of the Affordable Health Act

    April 16, 2013

    Price versus cost

    A Minority View

Suppose you buy a gallon of gas for $3. How much did it cost you?

You say, “Williams, that’s a silly question. It cost $3.”

That’s where you’re mistaken, because there’s a difference between price and cost.

To prove that price and cost are not the same, consider the following.

Suppose you live and work in New York City and routinely pay $15 for a haircut.

Imagine you were told that there’s a barber in Boise, Idaho, who can give you the identical haircut for just $5.

Would you start going to the Boise barber?

I’m betting you’d answer no because even though the price is cheaper, the cost is greater.

We might think of price as the money that’s actually given in exchange for the transfer of ownership.

When you purchased the gallon of gas, you simply transferred your ownership of $3. What the gas cost you is a different matter.

One way to determine the cost of a gallon of gas is to ask yourself what sacrifice you had to make in order to have $3 to buy it.

Say that your annual salary is $75,000. Your total federal income tax, state income tax, local taxes and Social Security and Medicare taxes come to about 35 percent of your salary.

That means that in order to purchase the $3 gallon of gas required that you earned about $4.60 in order to have $3 after taxes.

That means a gallon of gas costs you $4.60 worth of sacrifice.

But that’s not so costly as it is to a richer person – for example, someone earning a yearly salary of $500,000. He has to earn more than $5 before taxes in order to have $3 after taxes to purchase gas.

If taxes only concealed hidden costs of what we buy, we’d be lucky, but taxes are destructive in another hidden way.

Suppose I want to hire you to repair my computer. Having the work done is worth $200 to me, and performing the work is worth $200 to you. The transaction occurs because we have a meeting of the minds.

Suppose Congress imposes a 30 percent income tax on you. That means that if you repaired my computer, you would receive not $200, what it was worth to you to do the job, but instead $140 after taxes.

You might say the heck with repairing my computer; spending time with your family is worth more than $140.

You might then offer that you’d do the job if I paid you $283. That way, your after-tax earnings would be $200 – what doing the job is worth to you. There’s a problem. The repair job was worth $200 to me, not $283. So it’s my turn to say the heck with it.

This simple example demonstrates that one effect of taxes is that of destroying transactions and hence jobs.

But politicians have what economists call a zero-elasticity vision of the world.

In other words, they’re fool enough to believe that people will behave after taxes are levied just as they behaved before and that the only effect of a tax is to bring in more revenue.

Of course, a more flattering assessment is that politicians are not fools and know that their actions destroy transactions and hence jobs but they don’t give a darn and only care about revenue.

Here’s a question: Would you and I, as well as our nation, be better off if you repaired my computer and I gave you $200 in cash and we agreed not to report the transaction to the agents of Congress?

    I’d answer yes and no.

Yes, because there’d be more transactions, more jobs and greater wealth. No, because we’d be criminals.

Taxes are necessary to fund the constitutionally mandated functions of the federal government.

If Congress spent according to its authority under Article 1, Section 8 of our Constitution, taxes wouldn’t be any more than 5 percent of the gross domestic product, as it was between 1787 and 1920, as opposed to today’s 20 percent.

Dr. Oz Investigates the Hazards of Dental Amalgams

    April 16, 2013
    http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/04/16/dr-oz-amalgam-segment.aspx?e_cid=20130416_PRNLv2_art_1&utm_source=prmrnl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art1&utm_campaign=20130416-PRMNLHL

"Phone calls and faxes are especially important because Dr. Shuren cannot ignore them – keep calling and leaving messages until you get answers! Ask Dr. Shuren:
    1. The FDA panel on dental amalgam that met in 2010 recommended against using dental amalgam in young children and pregnant women. What are you doing to protect young children and pregnant women from dental amalgam?
    2. Other nations like Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark have taken steps to protect children and pregnant women from dental amalgam. Why is the U.S. so far behind other nations?
    3. You said FDA would make an announcement on dental amalgam by December 31, 2011. We have waited patiently for more than 450 days, but it is now 2013. When is FDA going to start protecting our children from dental mercury?
472 days of FDA silence is enough. With your help, we can show our government that the public will not rest until FDA is at least protecting our children from dental mercury."

    Amalgam Filling

    Story at-a-glance

    • Dental amalgam is composed of about 50 percent mercury, a well-known neurotoxin that can also damage your kidneys
    • There is overwhelming evidence showing mercury is easily released in the form of vapor each time you eat, drink, brush your teeth or otherwise stimulate your teeth. These mercury vapors readily pass through your cell membranes, across your blood-brain barrier, and into your central nervous system, where it can cause psychological, neurological, and immunological problems
    • Mercury used in dentistry is a significant source of environmental mercury pollution. When you factor in environmental costs and clean-up costs, amalgam is the most expensive dental restoration material in the world
    • Once released into the environment, dental mercury converts to methylmercury and contaminates fish, which are the largest dietary source of mercury in the US

New GMO study reveals that GMO corn has no nutrition and loaded with chemicals (article contained several charts with detailed info)

    April 15th, 2013

Is GMO corn nutritionally equivalent to non-GMO corn? Monsanto will tell you the answer is a big ‘yes’, but the real answer is absolutely not. And the simple reality is that they are continuing to get away with their blatant misinformation. In fact, a 2012 nutritional analysis of genetically modified corn found that not only is GM corn lacking in vitamins and nutrients when compared to non-GM corn, but the genetic creation also poses numerous health risks due to extreme toxicity.
With the recent passing of the Monsanto Protection Act, there is no question that mega corporations like Monsanto are able to wield enough power to even surpass that of the United States government. The new legislation provides Monsanto with a legal safeguard against federal courts striking down any pending review of dangerous GM crops. It is ironic to see the passing of such a bill in the face of continuous releases of GMO dangers.

Non-GMO Corn 20x Richer in Nutrition than GMO Corn

The 2012 report, entitled 2012 Nutritional Analysis: Comparison of GMO Corn versus Non-GMO Corn, found numerous concerning and notable differences between GMO and non-GMO corn, none of which are particularly surprising. First, the report found that non-GMO corn has considerably more calcium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, iron, and zinc...

...Overall, the paper found that non-GMO corn is 20 times richer in nutrition, energy and protein compared to GMO corn...

GMO Corn Also Found to be Highly Toxic

Not surprisingly, the report found what many of us already know – that GMO corn is highly toxic. While non-GMO corn was found to be free of chlorides, formaldehyde, glyphosate (active ingredient in Monsanto’s best selling herbicide Roundup), and other toxic substances, GMO corn is riddled with these toxins...  (Read article to view several charts with detailed info)

Bitcoin crashes over 50% just one day after bold public prediction by Mike Adams of Natural News

    Wednesday, April 10, 2013

    Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/039865_bitcoin_crash_prediction_Mike_Adams.html#ixzz2QBBpKhIC

Wednesday's wild ride came as someone gave away thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoins on Reddit, the social news site. News blog Business Insider calculated a Reddit user under the name "Bitcoinbillionaire" had given away $13,627.69896 worth of Bitcoins to Reddit users over the day.

This giveaway is what apparently caused the bitcoin crash. But I have news for everyone. Having now made, on the record, the single most accurate crash prediction ever publicly announced on bitcoin, I think I've earned the credibility to tell you more: Bitcoinbillionaire is almost certainly not a friend of bitcoin. He is likely working for the central banks.

How do I know that? Because the "bitcoin giveaway" that crashed the market today was a calculated stress test to determine the "buoyancy" of the bitcoin market. By injecting a predetermined amount of supply into the market and watching the price reaction, it can easily be calculated how many bitcoins will be required to crash the entire market down to a desired price level, causing a runaway panic.

This engineered crash was, in effect, a currency war probe attack designed specifically to calculate what is needed for a much larger attack planned for the future -- an attack that will decimate bitcoin and cause long-lasting distrust in non-centralized currencies.

Again, I predicted this would happen almost word for word in yesterday's article, in which I outlined a 6-step "recipe" the central banks would use to destroy bitcoin:

Step 1) Central banks buy up massive quantities of bitcoin currency, driving the prices into the stratosphere and encouraging millions of people around the world to jump on board the "get rich" bandwagon.

Step 2) Once bitcoin valuations reach a sufficient level of insanity, start a massive selloff by dumping the bitcoins you already bought onto the market, offering them for sale at any price (i.e. sell into falling prices, accelerating the loss in valuations).

Step 3) Watch panic take hold as the bitcoin crash accelerates, ending in a catastrophic wipeout of "valuation" of all bitcoins.

Step 4) Find "victims" of the bitcoin crash who can tell a good sob story for the mainstream media about how they invested little Johnny's college money in bitcoin and lost it all. Roll them out on CNN and MSNBC where they cry on camera and talk about how they were ripped off by bitcoin and now they only trust the government from now on.

Step 5) Demonize bitcoin by characterizing it as a "libertarian pyramid scheme." Lash out against both decentralized currencies and libertarians.

Step 6) Once the demonization gains traction, have traitors in the U.S. Congress announce a "Consumer Currency Protection Act" that outlaws non-central bank currencies such as bitcoin. It's all "for your safety," of course. Shut down all online bitcoin wallets and exchanges, calling them "criminal pyramid schemes" and arrest a few people using bitcoin to send a warning message to the rest.

What we saw unfold today was step 2. Step 3 is next, but the central banks may wait weeks, months or even years before pulling the trigger in step 3. (The timing is impossible to know.)

Extreme price volatility has already destroyed bitcoin credibility

Although bitcoin quickly recovered some of its losses today, the extreme volatility is a huge red flag for this currency. Why? Because it means merchants won't want to accept payments in bitcoins because they could lose half their pay values in mere hours. This damage is already done. In the minds of merchants who were considering accepting bitcoin, bitcoin's reputation has been destroyed as of today....

I did not crash bitcoin; I only predicted the crash

I don't hate bitcoin, for the record, but I do know when something looks like a bubble and people need to be warned. My hope is that the hype mania of bitcoin can burn out and we can get back to the old bitcoin that was less volatile and far more affordable. I would like bitcoin to succeed, but now it is obvious that its reputation can be decimated at the merest flinching of the central banks.

To think: this crash was caused by nothing more than $13,000 or so worth of bitcoins flooding the market all of a sudden, causing the loss of $1 billion in market valuation. How's that for outrageous volatility?

Argentina—A Poster Child for the Health Hazards of GMO Crops

    Story at-a-glance

    • Argentina’s population is being sickened by massive spraying of herbicides on its genetically engineered soya fields. Glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, is blamed for the dramatic increase in devastating birth defects as well as cancer. Sterility and miscarriages are also increasing
The EPA standard for glyphosate in American water supplies is 0.7 ppm, and organ damage in animals has occurred at levels as low as 0.1 ppm
    • GMO corn contains extremely high levels of formaldehyde—about 200 times the amount found toxic to animals
    • Unfortunately, President Obama recently signed into law a spending bill that included a devastating provision that puts Monsanto above the law. The provision limits the ability of judges to stop Monsanto and/or farmers from growing or harvesting genetically engineered crops, even if courts find evidence of potential health risks

3-D printer organs that can be used in surgery?

3D Printers One Step Closer To Creating Human Tissue
    By · April 5, 2013
    http://www.webpronews.com/3d-printers-one-step-closer-to-creating-human-tissue-2013-04

3D printing has performed some miraculous feats in the field of medicine. Researchers are already playing around with the idea of growing organs with 3D printers, and now one university has proven that you can make human-like tissue with the technology.

Oxford University revealed this week that its researchers have built a custom 3D printer that prints out a new material that’s composed of thousands of connected water droplets inside lipid films. This new material can perform some of the functions of the cells within our bodies, and may one day be used to either deliver medicine to targeted areas, or repair damaged tissue.

“We aren’t trying to make materials that faithfully resemble tissues but rather structures that can carry out the functions of tissues,” said Professor Hagan Bayley of Oxford University’s Department of Chemistry, who led the research. “We’ve shown that it is possible to create networks of tens of thousands connected droplets. The droplets can be printed with protein pores to form pathways through the network that mimic nerves and are able to transmit electrical signals from one side of a network to the other.”

The custom 3D printer, built by Gabriel Villar, is unlike anything we’ve ever see in the field. The printer is able to create networks of up to 35,000 droplets with each droplet only being 50 microns in diameter. These droplets, when combined into networks, can fold into unique shapes after being printed.

The folding of these droplets is similar to another form of 3D printing called 4D printing. The highly experimental technology allows objects, after being printed on a 3D printer, to self assemble into new shapes.

Wow! Now we've got the beginnings of 4-D Printing - mostly thought of for space, but in a nutshell, it's physical materials building themselves/self-assembly after being programmed

3D printing has grown in sophistication since the late 1970s; TED Fellow Skylar Tibbits is shaping the next development, which he calls 4D printing, where the fourth dimension is time. This emerging technology will allow us to print objects that then reshape themselves or self-assemble over time. Think: a printed cube that folds before your eyes, or a printed pipe able to sense the need to expand or contract.

Best Argument for Keeping the 2nd Amendment AND the U.S. Constitution---the TRUTH---However, this could also lead to a "Con-Con" (Constitutional Convention, Article V) where there would be No control of what and how the U.S. Constitution is changed---which we do NOT want--(go here for reasons http://stoptheconcon.wordpress.com/)--but the below does point out how ILLEGAL the state and federal focus is on the 2nd Amendment

    ConservativeActionAlerts.com
ALERT: Neither the federal government or any state government can lawfully debar the People of the right to "keep and bear arms" without first amending the Constitution! Take Action! Blast Faxes to Congress.

[[Sidebar from Abundant Living Information Services>>this could/would lead to a Con-Con, Constitutional Convention--which is NOT what is wanted. Go here to read the reasons why: http://stoptheconcon.wordpress.com/, but the history given below is good to know for future reference]]Conservative American,

One-hundred and forty-seven years ago today [April 3, 1866] the Supreme Court decided Ex parte Milligan. The case, one of the first to be heard by the Court after the close of the Civil War, issues a strong argument against the idea that the government can depart from the principles of the Constitution when it wills.

The Court declared, "The Constitution of the United States is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace, and covers with the shield of its protection all classes of men, at all times and under all circumstances. No doctrine involving more pernicious consequences was ever invented by the wit of man than that any of its provisions can be suspended during any of the great exigencies of government. Such a doctrine leads directly to anarchy or despotism ..."

In other words, the Court ruled that it is never permissible to depart from the Constitution or any of its Amendments - for it is "law for rulers and people equally in war and in peace."

So, what does Ex parte Milligan mean for today's so-called "debate" on the Second Amendment? It means there is, in fact, no debate whatsoever - it means that "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" just as the Supreme Law of the Land clearly states.

Since the Sandy Hook shooting took place in Connecticut late last year, government gun-grabbers have been pushing legislation in opposition to the Second Amendment. They argue that there is need for "reasonable" and "common sense" regulations to address what they call a "gun safety" crisis.

But the fact is: no gun-control legislation being offered is authorized by the Constitution as it stands! If gun-grabbers are so confident that the People overwhelmingly support gun-control - Obama himself claimed that 90% of Americans support universal background checks, for example - then they ought to be bold enough (and honest enough) to try to fully repeal the Second Amendment!

Of course we don't want to see the Second Amendment repealed - we know that you don't either. But the fact is, this is what certain legislators are trying to do!

Our challenge, then, is this: Gun-grabbers can take our right to "keep and bear arms" only if they are willing to go through the process and successfully amend the Constitution by a 2/3 vote in both chambers of Congress and the approval of 2/3 of the states!

Take Action and Demand Congress to OPPOSE All Gun-Control Legislation without first REPEALING the Second Amendment by a 2/3 vote and the approval of 2/3 of the States! If Congress wishes to DISMANTLE the Second Amendment, they ought to be bold enough to do it properly (and be willing to face the consequences)!

In Washington right now, Sens. Feinstein, Reid, Lautenberg, Schumer - naming only a few - are offering bills or amendments to bills that would dismantle the Second Amendment through the establishment of weapon and clip bans, universal background checks, and a national firearms registry.

In addition to sponsoring sister bills to the Senate's efforts, the House of Representatives has introduced additional legislation that would "dry up" the Second Amendment through establishing heavy taxes on all "concealable weapons." Further still, Rep. McCarthy's bill would mandate gun-insurance for gun owners, punishable by fines up to $10,000.00!

Although the Feinstein Bill has been officially tossed by Senate leadership, we shouldn't think for one minute that gun-control is dead in Congress. The fact is, as soon as the Feinstein Ban was out the Reid Bill (S. 649) has taken center-stage.

The Reid Bill - while not an express ban on certain types of weapons like the Feinstein Ban - is gun-control and is opposed to the Second Amendment just the same.

In fact, the Reid Bill is more dangerous than the Feinstein Bill because it is heralded as a "compromise" bill, one that may attract the support of turn-coat Republicans. Democrats are crafting "palatable" gun-control legislation right now in their efforts to garner "common sense" Republican supporters. They only need a few to get the sixty votes they need.

Sen. Chuck Schumer says, "I'm working very hard with both Democrats and Republicans, pro-NRA and anti-NRA people, to come up with a background check bill that will be acceptable to 60 senators and be very strong and get the job done."

Our message to Congress must remain unchanged: No gun-control while the Second Amendment stands! If they truly want gun-control, they must do it the Constitutional way!

The battle is not just in Washington either; the Second Amendment is also under attack by several of the state governments! Right now Connecticut is in the process of adopting the most stringent gun-control in the country - they are adding over 100 weapons to their current assault weapons ban, they are looking to ban clips that hold more than ten rounds, and are establishing a background check for all private and commercial sales.

The California legislature is looking to lay heavy taxes on ammunition as well as ban any weapon that has a detachable magazine. The Golden State, already known as the strictest state on guns, is also looking to outlaw clips that hold more than ten rounds.

Other states - New York, New Jersey, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and New Mexico - are also legislating strongly against the Second Amendment.

    Can states do this?
Generally states have power to run their own affairs and legitimately legislate over more areas of human behavior than the federal government can. The Tenth Amendment reserves all powers to the states that aren't given to the federal or prohibited by it.

However, the Fourteenth Amendment applies the Bill of Rights to the states as well - in other words, no state has the Constitutional power to violate any of the first ten amendments of the U.S. Constitution.

This means that all legislation from the states that would violate the Second Amendment is unauthorized by the Constitution, what the Declaration of Independence would call "Pretended Legislation."

So what violates the Second Amendment? What laws would be out-of-step with Constitutional gun rights?

The Amendment states, "A well-regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

First, it is important to point out that the Amendment's pre-amble - "A well-regulated militia being necessary for the security of a free state" - only provides intent and is not the meat of the law. The word's that follow are what we need to take a look at - "the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

When the Amendment was written, "infringe" meant to disable, diminish, weaken, impair etc. Thus any government action that would infringe upon "the right" - a pre-existing right - "to keep and bear arms" is unlawful.

So are all weapons protected? Are all weapons considered "arms" by the Second Amendment?

Constitutional scholar Robert Natelson answers that question well. He notes:        Today the Second Amendment protects a range of weapons appropriate for citizen militias resisting foreign invaders and tyrannical politicians.

Now at this point someone favoring gun control always comes up with the line, "Well, does that mean that citizens have the right to hoard naval artillery and atomic bombs?" And the answer is "No, the Second Amendment doesn't encompass naval artillery or atomic bombs any more than the First Amendment includes falsely shouting 'fire' in a crowded theater." The language and purposes of the Second Amendment, as well as its history, tell us what it excludes as well as what it includes. Naval artillery and atomic bombs are not customary for personal self-defense and they never have been militia weapons used for repelling foreign invaders and domestic tyrants. In fact, the Second Amendment itself refers to the right to bear arms - that is, to carry arms - referring to weapons that normally are carried by a human being.

This is all to show that the current proposals being offered by states and the federal government are out-of-step with the Second Amendment. Rifles can be carried, "high capacity" magazines can be carried, weapons with a pistol-grip can be carried ... you get the point. This is exactly why the gun-grabbers are in the wrong, and why their "common sense" proposals are so egregious in fact.

The Supreme Court decision issued April 3, 1866 in Ex parte Milligan declares that, "The Constitution of the United States is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace, and covers with the shield of its protection all classes of men, at all times and under all circumstances ..."

Part of the Constitution's "protection" of the American people is its guarantee of the Second Amendment - the right to "keep and bear arms."

Neither the Federal Government nor any State Government (via the 14th amendment) has any right to debar Americans of the right to privately own and use weaponry for defensive purposes. No Congress is authorized by the Constitution to pass gun-control legislation.

Today the Second Amendment protects a range of weapons appropriate for citizen militias resisting foreign invaders and tyrannical politicians.

Now at this point someone favoring gun control always comes up with the line, "Well, does that mean that citizens have the right to hoard naval artillery and atomic bombs?" And the answer is "No, the Second Amendment doesn't encompass naval artillery or atomic bombs any more than the First Amendment includes falsely shouting 'fire' in a crowded theater."

Print Money. Mail Everybody a Check.

Fight unemployment by giving money directly to American families.

"America has grown desperate for smart ideas to revive a flagging economy. Sunday night in the Financial Times I read one of the most desperate: an op-ed by UCLA economist Roger Farmer arguing that the Federal Reserve should deliberately re-inflate a new asset price bubble to goose the economy....We should do something much simpler: print up a bunch of money and send it to American households.

"Ben Bernanke himself famously argued years ago that a central bank should never run out of tools for fighting deflation and depression because, as a last resort, it could always drop cash out of helicopters. That would be fun to watch, obviously, but mailing checks would be a lot simpler..."

"...doctors discovered an aggressive tumour the size of a tennis ball growing beneath the skin of his face.
Emergency surgery to deal with the cancer removed almost the entire left side of his face, including his eye, his cheek bone and most of his jaw, leaving a gaping hole where his features had once been.

"Now, after years of having people stare and recoil at his disfigurement, surgeons have employed cutting edge three-dimensional printing technology to create a prosthetic face for Mr Moger, 60, in what is thought to be the first procedure of its kind in Britain..."
