Attack on Dietary Supplements...from "Consumer Reports?"

Citizens For Health

August 14, 2012

Dear Citizen for Health,
The September 2012 issue of Consumer Reports magazine contains an alarmist article under the headline "Vitamins and Supplements" that purports to warn consumers about "10 Surprising Dangers" associated with the use of vitamins and supplements.

Unfortunately, such an article didn't surprise anyone here at CFH given that despite the publication's long-standing track record of consumer advocacy, this article, together with prior published material, suggests an anti-supplement bias on the part of the publishers.
Please take a few moments to read the response from CFH Vice President and Senior Policy Advisor, James Gormley, entitled "An Open Letter to Consumer Reports: 10 Misinformation Hazards in Your '10 Surprising Dangers of Vitamins and Supplements' Article".
